How it works
- Install: Add Web Highlighter from the Chrome Web Store and pin the extension.
- Highlight: Select any text and choose a colour from the toolbar, popup, or context menu option.
- Organise: Open the sidebar (Alt+S) to filter highlights by page, search keywords, or change colours.
- Revisit: Click "Open" to return to the exact spot on the page, even after a reload.

Privacy policy
We built Web Highlighter to respect your data and keep things simple:
- Highlights and settings are stored locally in your browser via
chrome.storage.local. Nothing leaves your device. - No tracking pixels, analytics scripts, or external databases.
- Permissions are limited to highlighting content on the pages you visit and opening the extension side panel.
- You can remove all saved highlights at any time directly from the sidebar.
